Are you REAL ID ready?

REAL ID deadline is approaching - May 7, 2025

As your travel partner, GTI wants you to stay informed. Beginning May 7, 2025 U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board US domestic flights.

What you need to know:

• Standard driver's licenses and ID cards will no longer be accepted for domestic flights after the deadline.

• Look for a star symbol in the upper portion of your license to confirm it's REAL ID-compliant. Your state license may also include a flag or say “Enhanced.”

• To obtain your REAL ID-compliant license, required documents typically include proof of identity (passport or birth certificate), Social Security number, and two proofs of residency.

• Processing times may take several weeks, so don't wait.

Visit your state DMV website for more details. Many DMVs require an appointment.

Alternative acceptable IDs include passports, passport cards, and military IDs.
